My name is Michelle Mikesell, and I think that the biggest issue in health care right now is that not everyone is receiving great health care.  There are so many that are uninsured, or underinsured, and the reform really needs to begin to bring in everyone.  But it needs to be accessible to everyone, so that some aren’t paying more for less, basically.  The issues here, from what I can see, is that health care is a commodity, and we need to decide if we want to continue to pay into that kind of a pre-market system, and how can we make that better, or will it become a single payer, government, basically like Europe, where the government kind of takes care of the money pool, everyone receives health care.

There is Widespread Support for Reform
81% of voters agree with the statement "it should be public policy that government guarantee that all Californians have access to affordable health care insurance or other health care coverage."

The uninsured are responsible for "an approximate 10 percent increase" in California's health care premiums. In our poorly designed healthcare system, providers have little choice but to shift costs.
