I am a retired teacher.  I taught for 20 years with time off for 2 bouts with breast cancer, heart failure and a thoracic aneurysm.  I’’ve been on Cobra and then Cal-cobra for the last 2 years.  I’m sure you know that Cal-Cobra does not pay for dental or vision care.  My retirement check is just enough to pay my monthly cal cobra insurance payments.  Beyond that I pay out of pocket for my prescriptions.  I’’ll be 59 this year, and I’m still a few years away from going on medicare.  I can’t get a job in the education field because I am too old and have these medical conditions.

What are the solutions for me????
