Alejandra Velasco

My name is Alejandra Velasco, I’m from Castaic, California, and I have end stage renal disease.  I have to have home hemodialysis treatment.  It took me six months to get my treatment authorized by Blue Shield, and letters to congressmen, Department of Managed Health Care.  And finally, after all my trials, I was able to get it authorized.  Once I got it authorized they dropped the whole Association of Realtors, and we had to get all new insurance again.  So it was not easy getting health insurance afterward.
